Music

We continue to be privileged to have violin tuition for all of Key Stage 2.  This takes place every Wednesday morning and a specialist violin teacher, teaches the pupils about their instrument and develops the skill of playing.  They also develop their singing and look at other musical concepts such as rhymn, pitch, timbre, notation and dynamics.

We sing as a whole school each week during assemblies which Miss Stevenson leads on a Wednesday morning.  School choir runs as an after school club on Thursday and during Friday lunchtimes on the run up to performances.  We are always looking for new members from Key Stage 2 - please speak to Miss Stevenson if you are interested injoining.

Key Stage 1 integrate their music into their topics and learn many themed songs - Miss Lusty is always busy with music in Classes 1 & 2.

The school choir takes part in the annual Young Voices Concerts, which is always popular with our pupils and parents alike and they also perform at the Edwinstowe Christmas Light switch on event and at various locations around the village during the festive season - this year we have even been asked to sing during a wedding ceremony!
