As a Former pupil of St Mary's I was 10 when we moved into the "new school" as it was built in 1970 - how exciting was that!
I came onto the governing body as a foundation governor in 2010 having been a member of St Mary's PCC as treasurer since 1997.
My daughter Lucy attended the school in the mid '90s and my son Greg between 2007 & 2013.
In March 2020, I retired from my role of Finance Director at the Woodhead Group. This has enabled me to commit fully to the role of Chair of Governors which I took on in November 2019.
Little did I know how challenging the next few years would be, as we coped with a global pandemic and it’s repercussions.
